hey wonderful readers of Purply Pink Me, this is gracie, the girl behind lollipops & cupcakes.

today i am here to talk about my passion. photography. something that is very dear to me. photography is my art. 

sometimes my friends give me weird stares whenever i bring out my camera to take a picture of some random object, and i'll tell them:

now, that may not make sense to all of you who aren't in to photography, but that one line really describes who i am. i was never good with a paint and brush (honestly, the only kind of painting i am good at is finger painting), but there was something in me that longed for something more.

i finally discovered that something when i found my parent's old Sony DSC-H1. i picked it up and started taking pictures. after that, that camera sort of became mine. i entered four of my photos into the county fair that same year and got one blue, one red, and two white ribbons. i never thought that i would become so passionate about photography. but here i am, taking pictures of everything. and going to the (almost) extreme to get the best picture possible.

without photography i would still be stuck playing Facebook games, planting popcorn bushes and harvesting lollipops in Farmville. yup, photography pretty much saved my life.
